The GST Appellate Tribunal (GSTAT), which will be established in all states and Union Territories, has 31 benches, according to a notification from the finance ministry. Faster dispute settlement would benefit companies if state-level GSTAT benches were established.

Currently, taxpayers who are dissatisfied with a tax authority’s decision must file a lawsuit in the appropriate High Court. Due to the High Courts’ current caseload backlog and lack of a specialized bench to handle GST issues, the settlement procedure takes a very lengthy time.<img decoding=”async” class=”alignnone wp-image-183133″ src=”https://www.theindiaprint.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/09/theindiaprint.com-after-an-outburst-on-social-media-jadon-sancho-of-manchester-united-has-yet-to-apo.jpg” alt=”theindiaprint.com after an outburst on social media jadon sancho of manchester united has yet to apo” width=”1105″ height=”619″ srcset=”https://www.theindiaprint.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/09/theindiaprint.com-after-an-outburst-on-social-media-jadon-sancho-of-manchester-united-has-yet-to-apo.jpg 300w, https://www.theindiaprint.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/09/theindiaprint.com-after-an-outburst-on-social-media-jadon-sancho-of-manchester-united-has-yet-to-apo-150×84.jpg 150w” sizes=”(max-width: 1105px) 100vw, 1105px” title=”State-Wise List of GSTAT Benches Announced by Finance Ministry for the GST Appellate Tribunal 9″>
