BITM Student CEO Announces AI Cyber Shield at Bengaluru Tech Summit

BENGALURU / BALLARI: In a proud moment for student innovation, Gudiuru Vijayakumar, a first-semester Data Science student at Ballari Institute of Technology and Management (BITM), announced his advanced AI-powered cybersecurity application, Sudharsha, at the prestigious Bengaluru Tech Summit. The announcement placed a young student innovator on one of India’s biggest global technology platforms, highlighting the rising power of student-driven cybersecurity solutions.

Along with his academics, Vijayakumar also serves as CEO of Thapaswi Groups, showing a strong combination of technical knowledge and leadership. Sudharsha is designed to fight the growing global problem of cyber fraud by providing real-time protection. The application can automatically detect and block fraudulent UPI links, identify suspicious phone numbers, prevent malware attacks, and provide strong security protection for social media accounts while ensuring user data privacy.

Early projections suggest Sudharsha could help reduce successful cybercrime incidents by nearly 45% annually by the end of 2027. The project is being developed under the prestigious BRICS (BITM) initiative with mentorship from Dr. Mallikarjuna A (BRICS Head).

The project has received strong support from BITM leadership, including Director Mr. YJ Prithvi Raj Bhupal and Principal Dr. Yadavalli Basavaraj. With support from experts and academic leaders, Sudharsha is emerging as a powerful tool in the global fight against cybercrime, proving that even a first-year student can create world-class technological impact.
